The presidency clears the speculations of who president Muhammadu Buhari has appointed to replace the embattled as the chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Lauretta Onochie, social media aide to the President spoke via tweeter on Thursday: “It is better to wait for an official communication before rushing to tell the public unconfirmed news.”
She lamented that only on Wednesday, five different persons have been named by people as replacements for Magu as the EFCC boss, noting that the information given to the public is fake news.
“5 different men were appointed yesterday to head EFCC.”
“It’s really sad how we are now d headquarter of fake news. Even the mainstream media fell into the trap.”
“Recently, many people were appointed Chief of staff to the President. Except HE Gambari, who got the job.”
“We never learn.”
