#ENDSARS: Abia Youths Storms Street, Joins Peaceful Protest


Youths in Umuahia, the Abia state capital on Monday participated in the ongoing Nationwide “#ENDSARS Protest”

The peaceful protest as monitored by Total News24.ng saw youths with various placards such as “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH”, “ENDSARS”, “END BAD GOVERNACE”, “END POLICE BRUTALITY”, etc. They matched en masse in major roads and streets of  Umuhaia.

The protesters matched from adjoining streets,  Isi-gate, Okpara square, Aba Road and stationed at Aba road close the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) and the gate of the Abia state government house waiting for the governor Okezie Ikpeazu to  address them.

Snacks, soft drinks and water were seen shared to each other at the scene of the protest as they chant solidarity songs. Live musical band and the DJ were also on ground with musical display.

Abia born music celebrities who joined the protest are Dauda, Mr. Raw, J-Martins, Slim Brown and Emma Ehumadu(labista).

The protest is still on as at the time of filing this report.
